I have been taking pictures since I got my
first Girl Scout box camera back before time began. My next camera, in the
late 60’s, was a high end Polaroid. After getting my first SLR, a Nikkormat,
I learned darkroom skills from a friend. I was hooked and began shooting
anything and everything and printing it too. I eventually settled into
printing small landscape photographs fashioned after some of Alfred
Stieglitz’s small toned prints that I saw in a show. I have taken several
workshops including the Maine Photographic Workshops, which helped me focus
on a direction. I have continued with this style although the images have
changed shape a bit and some get a touch of hand coloring. I am still using
my old Leica rangefinder and printing in the darkroom.
